Glass & LCD Replacement Service

Q: After dropping my phone it has become unresponsive to touch, does the glass repair fix this issue?

A: Yes, any non-responsiveness your phone is suffering due to a drop will be corrected with the Glass & Digitizer repair, as the Digitizer that is being replaced is the part responsible for all touch functionality. Check out our glass replacement article to learn more about broken glass and the repair process.

Q: How do I know if I need the LCD repair or not?

A: If the actual screen of the phone is bleeding, white, or has any dead pixels then you’re going to need to select the LCD & Glass option as the LCD has suffered irreversible damage. Still not sure? Send a picture of the current condition of the phone while it is powered on to support@ubreakifix.com and we will do our best to diagnose it.

Q: The glass on my iPhone is completely shattered and is chipping off, is the screen replacement service all I need?

Apple Repairs

Q: Are your parts Original Apple or OEM?

A: Apple Inc. does not manufacture any parts. They are only a design and engineering company. The parts Apple uses in the iPhone are bought from Chinese vendors and assembled in China. Many of the parts we use come from the similar vendors in China. So though we cannot claim that our parts are “from Apple” they are manufactured to the same strict OEM specifications and we are often unable to tell the difference.

Liquid Damage Repairs

Q: Do you repair liquid damaged devices?

A: We can fix them yes. We have chosen not to though. The reason is that we have found that after a liquid damaged repair has been done there tends to be more problems start showing up eventually mainly due to corrosion. During a liquid repair, you must replace a lot of parts, so it becomes expensive and in our experience not worth the cost.

PC/ Laptop Repairs

Q: Can you reinstall Windows OS?

A:  Yes, if the device has a valid License.

Devices with Windows 8 or higher the Valid license will be in the bios as long as the OS was on the device when purchased.
Devices with Windows 7 or lower, You will need a valid and readable COA on the device (usually on the bottom)

Q: How do I know if my Hard Drive has Physical Damage?

A: Common symptoms Include:
Disk is recognized by system but cannot be read normally;
Disk cannot be detected via operating system;
Disk cannot respond to system commands;
Disk freeze due to bad sectors;
Hard drive makes a “clicking” sound like “tick tack”
Hard drive makes a buzzing sound when trying to start up
Hard drive motor fails to spin up or has trouble spinning

Q: What Should I do if I think my Hard Drive is Physically Damaged?

A: First, you should STOP using your media immediately if you sense any internal damage to your hard drive. The more you use the hard drive, the more damage you can inflict. The chances of recovery become slimmer the more damaged the hard drive is. Next, you should call us for a free consultation and price quote. We will eagerly answer any questions you may have about the failure of your device and also about our process for dealing with physically damaged hard drives. It is extremely vital that you choose a data recovery company with a clean room on site. A hard drive can only be opened inside of a clean room to ensure complete protection from outside contamination. If a hard drive is opened outside of a clean room, then the drive will become unrecoverable and there is nothing that can be done after that.
