Inspired by the little, round BB-8, an astromech droid who initially operated in the desert of the planet Jakku. Though he may not be as famous as another droid in the galaxy, he has a black eye-piece, a spunky personality, and a desire to help those in need. He belongs to Resistance pilot Poe Dameron, and fits right into the T-70 X-wing fighter’s droid socket.
